Are you over weight?
Are you putting up more fat?
Is your new year's resolution is to loose some weight?
Wondering how much weight you should loose?
For this purpose, Body Mass Index (BMI) is used. It checks whether an individual has appropriate weight for height.
The formula is; BMI = Weight in kg/ Height in meteres2I have done the hard part & wrote the below JavaScript calculator to do it. Before proceeding any further, shall we do some calculations? Use the below BMI calculator to calculate your BMI.
BMI value is independent of age & sex. So all age groups & both males & females can use it to assess their health risks & it indicates body fatness. Health risks increase at both ends of the spectrum, especially at higher end. The WHO classification is used in this calculator. There is an ongoing debate, whether to have different cut-off points for different ethnic groups, specially Asians, but still the results are inconclusive.
BMI itself is not a diagnostic tool. If your BMI is higher than 24.99, you have a higher tendency to have health risks associated with obesity. So in that case a doctor needs to check up whether you really have any health risks & to check whether you should lose weight.

It had been tested on IE 6. both on MS Windows. If you find any problems in using it on any other browser or platform, please put a comment with the problem you have noticed, and a method to contact you, to get further details if I need to. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteDear Mr Evil,
ReplyDeleteI was really expecting somebody to give some remark as such, specially form the fairer sex. Well look at the brighter side, now u know how much to loose...
Hello, This is Mary
ReplyDeleteI am 36 years old with 2 toddlers. My youngest just started day care last week- which still feels a little strange. I haven't had this much time to myself in years. First thing I want to do is lose the extra pounds I put on during the last pregnancy. One of the girls next door has suggested I join her walking group two days a week. After my first pregnancy I lost around 35 pounds using the Herbalife products, but when I called the man that sold them to me three years ago he told me this week he doesn't sell them anymore. He told me to look on the internet. It's disappointing because he was really nice and he called me regularly to make sure I was using their products correctly. It was nice to have someone checking in with me every week to see how I was and it kept me motivated.
I searched on the internet for someone that sells Herbalife in New Jersey. I found many websites but I don't want
just to buy the products, I want to find someone trustworthy that sells the products so I can also meet them and get started again.
Could anybody here recommend someone in New Brunswick?
Thanks, Mary
In addition to BMI I have been told by a physician that fat distribution is also important, hence hip to waist ratio. Maybe it would be a good idea to add this to your calculator?

Been using it a lot recently for a family friend's son who was diagnosed recently with type I (juvenile) diabetes.
Interestingly enough, in countries like India and the middle east, the diabetic epidemic is dominant in the more affluent classes, while in countries such as the US and Australia, the epidemic is among the poorer areas of the country.
Also looking at some stats, it appears that health professionals have the worst reputation for taking care of their own health!
heyy! :) whats up?? send me a message on my aim! :) peace... <3
